Many companies talk about success but at crooton we’ve achieved something that many other recruitment firms haven’t – we not only survived during the global pandemic but grew the business significantly.

At a time when many other recruitment services were closing down, we secured clients including the NHS and many other healthcare providers – as well as high-profile logistics and FMCG companies – all keen to utilise our unique candidate geofencing system to find staff for roles they found hard to fill.

And thanks to the fact that they were able to target and precisely pinpoint the employees they wanted to reach, they found the people they needed, from nurses and vaccinators to support and operational staff.

This not only led to these organisations becoming regular clients, but also attracted many other national and international businesses keen to fill roles that had proved hard to attract candidates for. These included Ocado, Mencap, World Fuels and Stagecoach.

This huge demand has led to crooton growing rapidly and profitably month-on-month, with revenue currently on target to hit £1.7m this year.

The crooton team have also grown from four when we launched just before the pandemic in 2019, to almost 20 today, with more appointments in the pipeline.

And with more clients coming onboard every month – including restaurant chains Five Guys and Wagamama, a number of police forces, Hilton Food Global, and international law firm Allen & Overy – that success is set to continue.

Demand to target candidates overseas is also increasing, with many organisations keen to find the right staff for their UK operations or overseas divisions wherever they may be.

Our international footprint is also forecast to grow rapidly in the coming months as we roll out our enhanced custom developed SaaS platform that will allow employers anywhere in the world to fully manage every aspect of their job campaigns using our unique technology.

The growth that we have already achieved at crooton has been remarkable but it is just the beginning.

We are increasingly seeing our clients commit more of their recruitment budget to us, with the average client spend more than doubling between Q1 2021 and Q1 2022. And more and more of them are positioning us as a key part of their global recruitment strategy.

What’s more, once they have seen first-hand how effective our approach is in finding quality staff for the roles they struggle to fill, they stay with us, leading to an industry-leading client churn rate of less than 4%.

The fact that we are a fixed-price service has also saved them thousands of pounds on traditional recruitment fees, particularly because we don’t charge them extra for hiring multiple staff from single job campaigns.

And with more than 500 businesses in the pipeline, we forecast our sales revenue will continue to grow rapidly over the coming months and years, supported by our roadmap of technology enhancements and developments and our increasing focus on international growth.

We have already bucked the trend in the recruitment sector and proved ourselves during the most unprecedented period in living memory.

Our mission is to become a major player in international volume recruitment and we are on target to achieve this thanks to our disruptive technology and unique approach.
