How we helped Barbour hire 18 candidates for a Warehouse Operative campaign

International clothing brand Barbour, famous for its classic waxed jackets, now has retail store presence in over 55 countries worldwide including the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Holland, Austria, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand and Japan.

The Problem

Barbour had a volume recruitment need looking for Warehouse Operatives in Gateshead. Their main challenge was that they were in a transformation process across the warehousing function on the site and, as a result, they needed 30+ starters over a six-week period.

The Solution

We put together a managed service Warehouse Operatives campaign but due to the need for the process to be quick, we worked with Barbour’s external recruitment team – Meridian Business Solutions – where we fed in our candidates to their pool on behalf of Barbour. So we needed to work in a different and more challenging way compared to our usual approach with a managed campaign.

The Results

By the end of the process, we had 130+ applications and we were able to submit a high percentage of quality candidates over to Meridian to continue the recruitment process.

We were able to get updates from Barbour during the process in regards to how we performed on a weekly basis and they were able to fill their requirement before time. Compared to all other channels they were using to attract applicants, crooton came out on top by securing offers to 18 new hires.

We performed so well that Barbour decided to buy more credits and we have also secured Meridian as a client, having impressed them with our service, too.
